5 Best Cooking Anime and Recipes Anime

In this article, I’ll introduce you to some anime with delicious-looking dishes and gourmet food. I will also introduce some of my favorite dishes and recipes from the anime at the same time.

Shokugeki no Soma

Shokugeki no Soma

The story is set in a teishoku-ya (set meal restaurant) in a downtown area, where the main character graduates from junior high school and learn how to cook while training at the restaurant.

Since the theme of the story is cooking, set menu are introduce every time, but the story also depicts the love between parents and children and  various difficulties that arise in the course of life, so it is a work that can be watched with a sense of excitement.

Ingredients (good for 2 persons)

  • Tomato sauce
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon granulated consommé
  • 3 tablespoons red wine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Procedure:

1) Make the tomato sauce.

Dice the tomatoes and mince the garlic.

2) Sauté in a pan

Heat the olive oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the tomatoes and sauté until softened.

3) Simmer thoroughly.

Add the consommé granules and red wine to the pan described in 2) above, and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until the mixture is reduced to about 1/2 its original volume. Sprinkle salt and black pepper to taste, and the sauce is ready to serve.

4) Make an omelet

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them with an electric whipper until they are streaky. Beat the eggs until they are streaky.

5) Bake the eggs

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan. Pour in half of the egg mixture. Cook over medium heat for about 1 minute, then turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and let steam for 1 minute. Fold the egg in half and place on a plate.

6) Serve.

Pour the tomato sauce over the omelet. Top with chopped parsley, if desired, and you’re done!

Ingredients (good for 1 person)

  • 1 potato
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 package half bacon
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • A pinch of salt and pepper

Procedure:

1) Wash the potatoes, wrap them in plastic wrap while still wet, and heat them in a 500-watt microwave oven for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

2) While the potatoes are still hot, peel them and put them in a bowl and roughly mash them with a masher.

3) Cut the onion and cucumber into thin slices, sprinkle with a little salt, and squeeze out the water when both are soft.

4) Cut the bacon into thin strips and fry in a pan until crispy.

5) Add 3) and 4) to 2), add mayonnaise, salt, and pepper, and dress.

Ingredients (good for 4 persons)

  • Salmon fillet: 400g
  • Carrot: 1
  • Onion: 1
  • Maitake mushroom: 1 pack
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Cooking’s sake: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper: a little
  • Butter: 40g

Procedure:

1) Pour cooking sake and salt over the salmon and set aside for 10 minutes.

Remove the water with kitchen paper.

2) Cut onion in half and slice thinly.

Cut the carrots into thin strips, remove the stems from the maitake mushrooms, and cut into bite-sized pieces.

3) Put the vegetables and salmon on aluminum foil and bake in a pan over low heat for about 15-20 minutes. When it is cooked through, it is ready.

This is a story about a Western-style restaurant in Japan that is connected to another world only on Saturdays. The owner’s cooking skills seem to be pretty good, but the fact that people from other worlds with different food cultures eat it makes it even more impressive. This is a work where you can enjoy the lives of people from other worlds and their encounters with food.

Ingredients (good for 4 person)

  • 4 slices pork loin pork cutlet
  • A pinch of pepper
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Bread crumbs, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon soup stock
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin (sweet cooking sake)
  • 100g onion
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 cups rice
  • 1/4 bunch of mitsuba

Procedure:

1) Cut the pork into thin strips, sprinkle with salt and pepper, coat with flour, beaten egg, and bread crumbs, fry in oil at 170℃ for 4 to 5 minutes, drain the oil, and cut into 1 to 2 cm pieces.

2) Cut onion into thin slices, place in a baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 1 minute at 600W until soft. Beat the eggs and cut the honeysuckle into 2cm lengths.

3) Combine A in a frying pan and bring to a boil. Place the onions from 2) and the pork cutlet from 1) in the pan and cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

4) Pour in the beaten egg from 2) and cook over low heat until half-boiled.

5) Serve rice in a bowl and top with a quarter of the amount of 4).

Ms. Koizumi loves ramen noodles (Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san)

This is an eating comedy in which Koizumi-san, a quiet and mysterious beautiful girl, eats a lot of ramen at various ramen stores. Ramen lovers will not be disappointed with this anime.

Italian Ramen

Ingredients (good for 1 person)

  • 1 bag instant ramen (salt flavor)
  • 100cc tomato juice
  • 400cc water
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • Adequate amount of onion
  • 1 small olive oil
  • A pinch of shimeji mushrooms
  • Green pepper, to taste
  • 1 sausage (meat/bacon is fine)
  • A pinch of cheese powder
  • A pinch of coarsely ground pepper

Procedure:

1) Preparation

Finely chop the garlic. If using a tube, add it to the pan. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Pour the liquid soup into a bowl.

2) Fry the vegetables

Add olive oil and garlic to the cooled pan. When it becomes fragrant, fry the meat. Once cooked, stir-fry the vegetables and set aside.

3) Boil the noodles.

Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil. Add noodles and boil for 3 minutes. Add tomato juice and boil for a total of 4 minutes, then transfer to a bowl. Mix well to dissolve the liquid soup.

Top with 2) and sprinkle with cheese powder and coarsely ground pepper.

Since the pan in 2) has umami flavor, you can add some of the soup and scrape it off and return it to the bowl.
