The iPhone 14 series was released today. Among the most popular models of the iPhone series, are the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max which both have an approximately one-month waiting list even if you decide to purchase them now. Some of those who got their hands on the iPhone 14 series earlier are reselling the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max to potential buyers immediately after acquiring them.
It is not a limited-edition model, and there is no reason to think that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, which could be pre-ordered normally, would be so difficult and tedious to acquire. It may seem strange, but resellers who supply the iPhone 14 series to the Chinese market can earn a higher profit than domestic sellers, thus making it more profitable since transactions are immediate. Furthermore, potential buyers would not wait for more or less a month to get the new iPhone series.
How much can an iPhone sell when its starting selling price is tens of thousands of yen higher than last year due to the weak yen? We checked the purchase price and found that there is a difference of more than 30,000 yen per unit between the previous year’s model and the newly released iPhone 14 series.

According to the price list referenced to vendor K, the 128GB and 256GB models seem to be the most profitable for both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Another reseller added ¥1,000 to the price for the new purple color.
Since it can be sold at such a price, it is no wonder that the pre-orders get sold out immediately.
There are reports like “The newest iPhone model went on sale today, and there is a line at the Apple store.” I get the feeling that half of the people in the queue are do not intend to resell the product, as far as this purchase price is concerned.
The stores of these Chinese buyers are ubiquitous in Tokyo. Residents can take advantage of this service in the form of delivery purchases, but since iPhones are expensive products, we recommend that you purchase in person at a store whenever possible.
